Subkultchur about us, subkult's past, my version. I guess SKR. mood: .. naughty hi, I guess for me it all started when I moved home again... Home being "Taranaki" New Plymouth, on a very cold western coast of the north island of New Zealand. Having picked up trying to play a guitar on my wasted journeys afar, there was lots of cool people to jam and party with, it was fun, a good music scene (about 1992 to 1996 or 7) I quickly caught up with mates who were writing their own songs too. We got off our faces like you wouldn't believe. In the wind, flying through trees my first bands by three. Altered state and Hatred, playing guitar... it was me? (I think) Traded my Gibson SG(she was a minter man, a dream, a fox to play) for three oz's of primo which despite good intensions of selling to make more money and buy some much needed transport, proceded to blow out all my mates and get stoned as for...about two weeks, who's the man eh rolling joints and having lots of sessions, oh well. Let's get some beer's eh!! I thought that "hendrix", did it on pot, acid, and spirit's so... I went an smoked **** loads of pot, took heaps of acid and drunk bucketloads of ****... enough for three lifetimes I reckon. Ah... those wasted, glory days. Skulling games...yeah! I thought that 'Morrison", did it tripping so... I worked my way up to taking over two hundred (or about a shopping bag full)'shrooms', then cactus 'n' datura well... won't be doing that again eh. Shotgun blasts in the night, an armed robber runs for his life. After playing Hatred's first and only awaited gig, which wasn't to bad in the end even though I was smashed off my face. Then Later while hanging out in a record shop across from the white heart hotel...an infamous place to hang out. I happened to over hear someone talking."Need a bass player man know anyone". "I can play bass" I let rip. Then borrowing a bass from my mate, started my bass playing days, I played with schzo-phrenia for 3 or 4 months maybe 6, in which we played a few gig's an jammed heaps, they do have some good songs. But was only good until Jack be nimble, nimbled me out the door. Oh well... what can ya do. To late man...I had meet guitar player, Steve Vivid and drummer, Craig Ryan. Punk on your name brother! RIP! more later. |
