Biography
Name: Terrell Berotte Stage Name: Nurotic Psycotic Terrell Berotte was born on July 17th in Galveston, Texas. His introduction to music was at the age of five, when he received his first Casio keyboard. Terrell lived with his grandmother at the time (apart from his brothers and mother) and began to teach himself to play the keyboard. At age eleven,(after the death of his grandmother) Terrell moved to Houston, Texas. It was at this time he began to write lyrics to accompany the beats he had created. Since he was so young at the time, most of Terrell's lyrical inspiration came from his family life and even cartoons. His first demo, titled "Really Doe" was recorded using two tape decks to record the track. Once the beat and vocals were put together, Terrell had created his first of many songs. Although this was a rough cut (the song was recorded without the aide of editing), at such a young age it was a major turning point in his musical career. Terrell honed his writing skills around the age of 15. It was at this time he joined a group called The Ballers. He went on the write their first hit song, "Mama Didn't Raise No Punks." After writing and recording around 6 songs, the group and their producer met with Tiger Records, an independent label looking for new local talent. It turned out that Tiger Records was interested in Terrell as a solo act, and wanted to sign him without the rest of his group. Terrell was conflicted leaving his friends behind, so he decided to not accept the offer. However, he eventually left The Ballers to pursue his solo career. By the age of 19, Terrell had started his own record company called T2 Entertainment. He has now produced 4 group and 2 solo albums. At the age of 23, Terrell's life began to take a different path. He struggled with drinking and depression to the point where he almost lost his life. Terrell was able to turn his life around, though, and realized through the power of prayer he was still alive for a reason. It was at this point he began work on his most recent album, under the stage name of Nurotic. His most personal effort to date, Nurotic follows a true rags to riches story and showcases Terrell's talent at its peak. But at this point there is no more use for words, as the music will speak for itself!
