Biography
Andy Stedman was born and raised in Farnham, Surrey where he began song writing at the age of 16. He was raised on a musical diet of British 60's bands, Elvis, Motown, The Jam and the Californian West Coast sound of The Eagles. Andy's other love is football, and he is a QPR season ticket holder.

Andy attended the University of Essex, reading US studies, then spent one year of the course at the University of California Santa Barbara studying screenwriting where he founded his first band, 'The Jelly Donuts'. Largely known for its witty banter and improvised skits, the band enjoyed widespread success amongst the student population of the area.

Upon his return Andy founded 'Sequoia' the band he led for five years. During their time together the band garnered fans spreading as far as Italy and Canada. Highlights for the band within the UK included receiving Radio 2 play, gigging twice at NEC Birmingham's "Clothes Show Live", a Shepherd's Bush Empire appearance as well as supporting the Fun Lovin' Criminals, The Bluetones, Brendon Benson and I Am Kloot amongst others.

In March this year, Andy decided to pursue a solo career and capitalize on his own style of 'power pop', which has so far earned him a broad fan base supporting this venture. In support of Andy's first solo release, fans on social networking sites such as MySpace and Facebook donated contributions towards the making of the album. Donations ranged from as little as £10 from teenagers and students, to over £200 from some of the older fans! Each fan was recompensed with their name and photograph printed inside the album (although about half of them were too shy for this!), plus a copy of the album once completed, a CD of outtakes and free entry to the exclusive album preview.

These gracious donations made up a large contribution towards the creation and launch of the new album, "Causin' Havoc, Breakin' Hearts".

The debut release is made up of 10 powerful tracks combining Andy's charming and bittersweet storytelling with classic indie/pop choruses and credibility. The lyrics have been likened to stolen 'slices of life', due to their ability to tap into people's inner thoughts and feelings.
